Wine is an elixir, a result of nature & human coming together, sometimes in harmony, other times as a means to an end. Like art, wine can be understood, misunderstood, treasured & critiqued. Science as an attempt to confine wine has resulted in its homogenization. We continue to drink it. Sometimes, the best way to bring wine into another dimension of enjoyment is to align a fresh viticultural perspective with other forms of art. As people have crafted wine for millennia, so have we built sculpture, written symphonies, painted canvases & sewn fabric. Simply drinking it alongside other craft is lovely, but studying it in parallel (or intersectional) to thoughtful, human invention & design makes for dimension rarely explored.
